Laboratory Mission Statement
To implement and maintain a Quality Assurance & Quality Control system necessary to ensure that all materials and workmanship employed in the Company's projects are fully compliant with Contractual and International Standards.
To put into effect a Quality Management System in compliance of International Standard ISO/IEC 17025:2005 so as to achieve and maintain accredited status.
To advise construction personnel of Best Practice so as to enable the most effective and efficient methods of materials use.
To report the results of tests in a timely manner and to communicate such results, trends and conclusions (and when necessary the implications of such data) to those concerned.
To effect a regime of continual improvement.
To carry out the above independently and regardless of any external or commercial pressures.
Laboratory Quality Policy Statement
BHM Laboratory is independent of any other part of the Bahamas Hot Mix group of companies, and has a structured reporting system that prevents potential conflicts of interest with other structures of the Bahamas Hot Mix Co Ltd organization. The laboratory management is committed to good professional practice and to the quality of its testing & calibration in servicing its customers and clients.
It is the policy of the laboratory to provide a standard of service that meets the requirements of ISO/IEC 17025:2005 and IAS.
The Management System objectives are to provide an effective, economical, practical and reliable system.
All personnel concerned with testing and calibration activities shall familiarize themselves with the quality manual and supporting quality documentation. These policies and procedures shall be implemented in their work.
Quality documentation shall be made known to all personnel at all levels within the organization by:
- A program of regular updates and other appropriate presentations.
- Appropriate training and orientation.
- Encouraging discussion of quality matters, including the setting up of arrangements for regular consultation between quality and other departmental staff.
