Statement Of General Policy

The Company is committed to the achievement and maintenance of the highest standards of health and safety in all areas of operation. Our aims are to ensure that whilst engaged in carrying out the Company's business, the health, safety and welfare of all employees, non- employees and members of the general public are maintained at all times. The policy is based on the fundamental belief, that work re- lated injuries and diseases are avoidable.

This Policy has been formulated to encourage proactive management of health and safety at work, covering the activities of all employees, non-employees and other parties affected by our undertakings.

The philosophy of this policy will be brought to the attention of all Company employees, sub-contractors, specialist consultants and suppliers. All parties will be expected to fully comply with the requirements of this document, when engaged in the employment, or working on behalf of this Company.

Copies of the policy will be made available to every employee upon commencement of employment and will be held at our head office and all satellite offices.

Each Sub-Contract order will include a requirement to fully comply with the health and safety policy. A review of such organisation's health and safety performance will be undertaken as part of the Company's procurement procedures. Health and safety performance to the Policy standard shall be a pre-requisite for the retention of such organisations on the Company's Approved List.

Health & safety will be monitored to measure the effectiveness of the Company's health & safety organisation and arrangements.

The Company will regularly review the Health & Safety Policy, Organisation and Arrangements to incorporate any developed improvements to company procedures, new statutory requirements or advancements in available technology. Amendments will be approved by the Direc- tor responsible for health and safety.

The Company will provide adequate resources and training to ensure each employee is competent to undertake they are assigned. Training re- quirements will be recommended by: the relevant Departmental Manager, the Safety Adviser or the Director responsible.
